Speaking Through Music

They say that music helps a person speak about his thoughts and his emotions if he cannot talk about it. This is really true. In fact, there are people who have made music their life because it is the only way that they find happiness and the only way that they can really express themselves. With that, they have even come to talk about how music has changed their life and how music has become a way of life for them.

Joseph Addison, a poet and a writer from England, have come to state this quote: “Music, the greatest good that mortals know, And all of heaven we have below.” Indeed, there is truth to what he says. See, it just goes to show that people have found something really good in music. It has become a way of life for a lot of people. It has brought about a lot of different emotions for people and this is something that Addison has been trying to say.

Author and poet Maya Angelou has shared her thoughts on music. This is what she has said: “Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness.” For her, music was something that really helped her and has brought her to a state where she could actually recover. Music was a warm embrace that helped her through the loneliness. A lot of people understand this and a lot of people still look at music the same way as Angelou has seen it.

For musician Johann Sebastian Bach, he shares that “The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.” This is what it is for him. This is something that he believes in. For Bach, music is something that should be used for good. It should be something that should be used to praise God and to praise everything that He has made. It should also be something that people should have to be able to have a soul that is always refreshed.

There is one more quote that is really good to read when it comes to music. This one is from composer Ludwig Van Beethoven who said, “Music can change the world.” And indeed, it can. Music has been used a lot of times by people to actually move a cause or to actually entice people to join a cause or maybe do even better.
